Our brands testify to the unbreakable bond between the wine and the land. We have a deep love for our vineyards and their richness of variety because they are an integral part of the historical heritage received from prior generations.
Cantina Valpantena was founded in 1958 through the initiative of a number of local winemakers. The project solidified in just a short time, becoming a cooperative that has attracted nearly all the production in the area. Today, it is well established and able to compete in domestic and foreign markets, allowing the community to preserve a centuries-old tradition and care for the environment. The winery’s work in recent years has focused on increasing the quality of each and every aspect of the production chain, taking full advantage of all the varieties of grapes and olives grown by its members.
Cantina di Custoza
Nature’s treasure chest
The wines made by Cantina di Custoza stem from a place where unspoiled nature and the beauty of the landscape featuring long rows of vineyards are the absolute stars. The production area is located in the moraine hills south-east of Lake Garda and includes the municipalities of Sommacampagna, Valeggio sul Mincio, Villafranca di Verona, Bussolengo, and Sona. These key vineyard areas use the same cultivation techniques for typical grape varieties used to produce the wine known as Custoza.
Cantina Colli Morenici
The wines of Cantina Colli Morenici express freshness and vitality: young, dynamic whites with sustained acidity, but well balanced by mineral and fruity notes; or elegant, persistent bubbles for an aperitif with friends.
Cantina Colli Morenici is located in Ponti sul Mincio, a small town just a stone’s throw from the southern shore of Lake Garda in Lombardy. Due to the morphological structure of the land, soil, and microclimate influenced by Lake Garda, this area is particularly suitable for viticulture. The winery, founded in 1959, has been passionately dedicated to producing high-quality wines since its very first vintage in 1963, following strict protocols from the vineyard to the bottle and through continuous studies and modernization.
Brolo dei Giusti
Brolo dei Giusti is our line of high-end products which currently includes an Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG and a Valpolicella Superiore DOC. These are excellent wines for special moments, produced only in the best years. The bottle labels are silkscreened rather than glued on so that they remain intact through the long aging process.
The ‘Giusto’ evoked by the name is a tribute to the farmers, who, at the end of a long day’s work, sit on the ‘marogna’ (pile of stones) to contemplate their work, immersed in the geometry of the vines and the beauty of nature outside and inside the Brolo, a prized, enclosed vineyard as per the Valpolicella farming tradition. A hidden treasure, to be discovered sip by sip.
